Kawhi Leonard does not appear overly concerned about the ongoing NBA investigation into his alleged endorsement dealings during his time with the Los Angeles Clippers. The seven-time All-Star is enjoying a busy offseason, preparing to travel to China for a series of fan events and exhibition appearances.
Kawhi Leonard Keeps Living His Life Despite NBA Investigation and Frozen Trade
The NBA’s investigation into Leonard and the Clippers over potential salary-cap circumvention is far from complete.
The league’s inquiry stems from reports about Leonard’s previous endorsement agreement with Aspiration, the now-bankrupt green banking company, following investigative journalist Pablo Torre’s reporting in September 2025.
The NBA has hired the independent law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to conduct a review of the allegations. While the no-show deal was under investigation, Leonard was set to be traded to the Toronto Raptors, but the deal has yet to go through while the investigation continues.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his NBA future, Leonard has continued with his planned offseason activities.
The two-time champion is currently preparing for his Katch x Kawhi Leonard Asia Tour, which is scheduled to include appearances in Hong Kong on August 15.
The organizers expect the events to feature career discussions, fan interactions, and several special segments. Leonard recently appeared in a video promoting his upcoming appearances, where he addressed fans.

According to Jake Fischer, Leonard strongly believes that his trade to the Raptors will eventually be approved. The Raptors reportedly share that optimism and also believe the trade will ultimately receive league approval.
However, the Clippers are prepared to pursue arbitration, depending on the severity of any penalties that could be imposed once the investigation concludes.
The investigation has also expanded beyond Leonard’s previously reported connection with Aspiration. Torre recently reported that Leonard had an undisclosed sponsorship arrangement with Daktronics, the company that supplies the high-tech video board at the Clippers’ Intuit Dome.
Torre also highlighted concerns surrounding Leonard’s stake in a Rhode Island soccer team.
However, the independent Wachtell law firm had already been examining both the Daktronics arrangement and Leonard’s investment in the Rhode Island soccer club before Torre’s latest report became public.
