An accidental YouTube upload may have spoiled the most anticipated decision of the NBA offseason after an unlisted livestream link titled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference” appeared on the Miami Heat official channel late Tuesday night.
The post was quickly removed, and the Heat issued a statement blaming a social media error.
But many, including former NFL pro Emmanuel Acho, are not buying the excuse.

The video was scheduled for a July 27 broadcast, and Acho dismissed Miami’s denial out of hand, claiming the deleted video was an indicator of a pending announcement, not an innocent misclick.
“I think it’s absolutely something, and anybody who’s acting like it’s not is a liar,” Acho said. “LeBron knows where he’s going… Now it’s just a matter of when does he want to decide.”

Though James no longer possesses the stamina to dominate both sides of the ball for heavy minutes, sliding into a lineup alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo relieves the four-time champion of the burden he’d carried for the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
The Heat would do well to have a primary facilitator to organize their attack, and the 41-year-old’s basketball IQ could instantly elevate the team’s spot-up shooters and unlock easy scoring opportunities.
Free agency is a chaotic period, no doubt, but the smoke coming up from South Beach is impossible to ignore.
