Days after signing with the Boston Celtics, former New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson is letting it be known that he still holds frustration with the franchise.
The Knicks opted against re-signing Robinson in free agency due to financial constraints, allowing the Celtics to pounce and sign the big man on a three-year, $47.4 million deal.

The Celtics shared a graphic raving about their free agent signing on Thursday, calling him their “newest paint bully.” This prompted Josh Hart to issue a reply on social media. The Knicks guard was seemingly not too pleased to see his former teammate in Celtics colors.
“Yo admin delete this,” Hart wrote on X.
However, Robinson made it clear where his allegiance now lies with a response to Hart on his Instagram story. It is worth noting that the comment was likely made in jest, as part of banter between two former teammates.
“[Expletive] off Josh Hart, y’all ain’t want me,” Robinson wrote on his Instagram story.
A Knicks fan page shared Robinson’s post on X.

Robinson played a vital role for the Knicks last season, providing crucial backup minutes when Karl-Anthony Towns needed a rest. He also played in the NBA Finals despite fracturing the fifth metacarpal in his right hand and undergoing surgery on the eve of the series.
The 7-foot-0 center, who was drafted by the Knicks in 2018 and spent eight years with the franchise, averaged 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game last season. His performances were keen in helping the Knicks get the better of Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.
After winning his first NBA championship, Robinson is now getting ready for the next chapter of his career with the Celtics. The 28-year-old is expected to compete with Neemias Queta and Luka Garza for a spot in the Celtics starting lineup.
Robinson’s rebounding ability and rim protection will be crucial for the Celtics, who lost to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs last season.
In the aftermath of that first-round exit, the Celtics have heavily retooled their roster. Boston missed out on Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat, but moved quickly to acquire Paul George in a trade that sent last season’s top scorer, Jaylen Brown, to the 76ers.
