Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 13-year stint with the Milwaukee Bucks ended on Monday when the team traded him to the Miami Heat. The Greek international will take his talents to South Beach as he tries to add to the championship that he won with the Bucks in 2021.
A day after the biggest trade in the offseason happened, the two-time MVP was spotted in Las Vegas.
Antetokounmpo was at the Michelob ULTRA Arena to watch the host Aces face the New York Liberty in a marquee WNBA showdown.

Heat’s Giannis Antetokounmpo Surfaces at WNBA Game After Bucks Trade
Antetokounmpo stayed out of the limelight as trade buzz continued to swirl around him. The Greek superstar’s only major social media interaction before the breaking news came out was a social media post expressing his trust in God amid the uncertainty of his future.
Once the NBA reported the trade, it didn’t take long for the 10-time All-Star to appear in public. He was with his wife, Mariah Riddlesprigger, and kids, enjoying the titanic Liberty-Aces game at courtside.

Antetokounmpo’s presence in Las Vegas is somehow notable as the Heat are big-time fans of reigning and four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, who is Bam Adebayo’s girlfriend.
SportsCenter recognized the significance by highlighting it on X with a tweet: “Giannis already got the Miami Heat’s memo to support A’ja’s Aces.”

The Bucks sent Antetokounmpo and veteran big man Bobby Portis Jr. to the Heat in a blockbuster deal.
In return, Miami packaged Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, the No. 13 pick of the 2026 NBA Draft (Nate Ament), two first-round picks (2031 and 2033), a 2030 pick swap, and a second-rounder in 2033.
Antetokounmpo, Adebayo, and Davion Mitchell will form the core of a roster that will be guided by Erik Spoelstra. Andrew Wiggins could join them if he picks up his $30.2 million player option on June 29.
Nikola Jović is under contract until the 2029-30 season, but Miami reportedly wants to trade him to add shooting around the Antetokounmpo-Adebayo pairing.
The Heat have a $2.3 million team option on Pelle Larsson, but it remains to be seen if they will keep him
While the supporting cast remains in doubt, the Heat are going all-in on the Antetokounmpo-Adebayo tandem.
Former rivals, the two forwards will work hand in hand to make the team regain its status as an Eastern Conference powerhouse.
This early, the former Bucks superstar is already laying the foundations of his relationship with Adebayo by supporting Wilson.
