Reggie Miller is facing backlash for his commentary during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.
Fans shared their frustration at the NBA legend over his perceived bias towards the Thunder, with some even calling for NBC to cut ties with him.
NBA World Criticizes Reggie Miller for Oklahoma City Thunder Bias
After a glittering 18-year playing career in the NBA, Miller became a commentator. However, the NBA world hasn’t been all too pleased with the Pacers legend’s work in the broadcast booth.
Podcaster Carson Cunningham claimed that Miller’s commentary has gotten worse despite being an analyst and commentator for the last 20 years.
“Reggie Miller has been calling games for 20 years and he’s somehow worse than when he started. He makes these games truly painful,” he wrote on X.

Another Spurs fan shared their annoyance at having to listen to Miller on commentary.
Miller also attracted criticism for appearing biased toward the Thunder. During Game 3, he weighed in on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s perceived reputation for flopping and baiting fouls.
“There’s somewhat of a narrative going around about SGA, how many times he falls… this OKC [Thunder] team, they’re unbearable to watch, the flopping, the flailing. I love everything about SGA,” he said.
It is fair to say that NBA fans did not appreciate those comments, and some even called for NBC to remove him from a series of such high importance.
“Reggie Miller talking like people don’t think SGA is good lmao that’s the whole point .. he’s too good to be flopping on every shot,” wrote one fan.

With NBC serving as the primary network for the Western Conference Finals, Miller will serve as the analyst for the rest of the Thunder-Spurs series alongside play-by-play commentator Mike Tirico. He signed a multi-year deal with NBC in February 2025 ahead of the NBA’s return to the network.
The NBA Finals will be broadcast on ABC, with Mike Breen set to lead the play-by-play alongside analysts Tim Legler and Richard Jefferson.
