Barkley had a simple response to Green’s comments on “Inside the NBA,,” where he had claimed he did not want his career to end the way Barkley’s did with the Houston Rockets. The 63-year-old simply claimed that Green was “not on the same level” as him and refused to engage in a war of words.
“I never punch down. Draymond’s a good player. We’re not on the same level. I don’t have to respond every time someone says something about me,” he said in an interview with Arizona Sports.
Basketball fans shared their take on Barkley’s thinly-veiled dig at Green, with one pointing out the subtle nature of his comeback.

Barkley said on the “Dan Patrick Show” that he took no offense to Green’s comments, but was quick to say that the Golden State Warriors had not been a “relevant” team in the NBA for the last three or four years.
