‘Internet Is a Wild Place’ — Basketball World Reacts As Lexie Brown Gets Dragged Into Klay Thompson-Megan the Scallion Saga

Storm guard Lexie Brown has made a disturbing revelation after being caught up in the Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion drama.

Klay Thompson has been the talk of the town over the last week, but for all the wrong reasons. His partner of almost a year, Megan Thee Stallion, went all guns blazing and accused the Dallas Mavericks guard of cheating on her.

Some social media accounts speculated that Lexie Brown was the third person that was involved in the relationship. But the Seattle Storm guard was quick to deny the accusation on April 27. Now, she has spoken out against Thompson and Megan again.

Lexie Brown Speaks Out On Klay Thompson-Megan Thee Stallion Drama

Brown was dragged into the drama between Megan and Thompson. She mentioned during an interview with FOX News:

“I was getting threats on my life. I was getting threats on my health,” Brown said. “My family started getting comments and threats from people. I’ve had to hire security to travel with me places. So it got to a point where I was scared for myself.”

“The fact that I’m still the only one that is defending my name, I just have no idea how to process that, and that’s the last thing that I’m struggling to process is that there’s this massive outcry for protecting Black women, and nobody has mentioned Lexie Brown’s name in any of those conversations.”

Fans online were quick to defend Brown’s name, especially after her troubling comment. Ahmed, a popular Lakers/Dodgers fan on X, said, “Watching this situation go from this app to what it is now in real time is pretty crazy.”

Terrance, a sports analyst, however, stood up for the Dallas guard. He wrote on X, “There was nothing Klay could do to stop this. If he came out and said it wasn’t her, he’d look like he was covering it up, and it would’ve brought even more smoke. I feel bad for her because I bet it’s mainly hurt women coming for her.”

Ameshia Cross, a political analyst, came in to stand for the 2021 WNBA champ. She wrote, “The internet is a wild place. Leave Lexie alone.”

Another X user, Ricky G, sent a message to Thompson, to clear Brown’s name. He said, “Klay step up and protect this lady name.”

Vic, another basketball fan, sent a heartfelt message to Brown, “People are big-time weirdos for bringing her into a situation she has NOTHING TO DO WITH and running with it…then, sending death threats on top of it. Mental illness, tbh. We love you, Lexie.”

Ashley Nicole Moss, a renowned basketball analyst for CBS Sports, also weighed in on the situation.

She said, “Taking a rumor and running with it to the point where my friend is receiving death threats for something she had ZERO involvement with to defend someone who doesn’t know you exist is insane. btw there were NEVER any close friend stories. You guys are blatant liars.”

What’s interesting is that Brown did claim to know Thompson and even called him a ‘friend,’ but said it was only because they are both pro basketball players. But with Megan, on the other hand, Brown has firmly confirmed that she has no relationship with the rapper whatsoever.

Both Thompson and Megan have yet to respond to Brown’s recent comments, and it remains unclear whether they will in the future. But it is worrying to witness the hate Brown has been receiving over a situation she apparently had no connection to.
