OG Anunoby, NBA World Reacts to Luka Dončić’s ‘INSANE’ One-Legged Three-Pointer: ‘He Was IMPRESSED’

NBA World and OG Anunoby react after Luka Dončić drains an incredible one-legged three during the Lakers' win over the Knicks.

Luka Dončić delivered another highlight-reel moment on Sunday (March 8) night as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New York Knicks 110–97 at Crypto.com Arena. Dončić continued the momentum from his 44-point outing in the previous game, leading the Lakers to a 110–97 victory and their 39th win of the season.

However, one highlight play from Dončić in the third quarter quickly stole the spotlight and sent the NBA world into a frenzy.

NBA World Stunned by Luka Dončić’s One-Legged Three vs. Knicks

With under nine minutes remaining in the third quarter, Dončić went for a jaw-dropping one-legged fadeaway three-pointer over Knicks forward OG Anunoby.

The Lakers guard was off balance and falling toward the sideline as he released the shot. Despite the difficult angle, the ball dropped straight through the net. Dončić even stumbled into the crowd after the release.

What made the moment even better was Anunoby’s reaction. The Knicks defender appeared stunned by the shot and could only smile while looking impressed at the degree of difficulty.

Showtime Luka X handle perfectly captured the stunned reaction from Anunoby, writing:

“OG’s reaction.”

Popular basketball account Hoop Central wrote:

“This shot from Luka is actually INSANE —

Off one leg, falling out of bounds. 🔥😮‍💨”

Lakers fan page LakeShowYo also reacted with disbelief:

“LUKA DONCIC YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! 😭😭😭

FADEAWAY THREE OFF ONE LEG 🤯🪄”

Another X account, Full Court Pass, highlighted the absurd difficulty of the attempt:

“LUKA DONCIC OFF ONE FOOT FALLING OUT OF BOUNDS.”

Meanwhile, the Lakers’ stats page, LALMuse, also focused on Anunoby’s stunned reaction to the shot.

“LOOK AT OG’S REACTION TO THE LUKA ONE-LEGGED THREE 😂😂

He was IMPRESSED with what he saw 🤝”

Dončić finished the night with 35 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals, shooting 44% from the field and 31.2% from three-point range.

The win was even more notable because the Lakers were once again without LeBron James, who missed his second straight game due to a left elbow contusion and left foot arthritis.

Interestingly, Dončić seems to thrive when James is out of the lineup. With the ball in his hands more frequently, the Slovenian star has been able to control the offense and take the majority of the big shots.

In 14 games without James this season, Dončić has averaged 35.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 8.2 assists.

Los Angeles is currently riding Dončić’s hot streak. The Knicks’ win marked the team’s second straight victory, and the Lakers are now 4–1 in their last five games. Across his last two outings, Dončić has averaged 39.5 points per game.

Overall, the six-time All-Star is having another historic season. Dončić currently leads the league in scoring, averaging a career-high 32.5 points per game along with 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists.

James could potentially return when the Lakers face the Minnesota Timberwolves next on Tuesday, March 10. If he does, it will be interesting to see how Dončić, Reaves, and James adjust on the court, with Dončić riding a hot streak ahead of a matchup with an Anthony Edwards-led Timberwolves squad.
