On Wednesday night, the Houston Rockets beat the Sacramento Kings (in California) by a score of 128-97. One of the biggest reasons for their commanding victory (at home) was the play of Alperen Şengün.

Houston Rockets Star Alperen Şengün Made NBA History
The All-Star forward finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, and three blocks while shooting 9/13 from the field and 1/2 from three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.
In addition to his big night, Şengün also made NBA history. As per Real App: “Alperen Sengun now has the 10th most 25/10/10 games by a center in NBA history. He’s 23 years old…”
Şengün was the 16th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He has spent all five years of his NBA career with the Rockets.
Right now, Şengün is averaging 20.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 51.4% from the field and 27.7% from three-point range in 336 games.
Via The NBA: “Alperen Sengun stuffs the stat sheet, and Reed Sheppard has a career night from deep as the @HoustonRockets win at home! Sheppard: 28 PTS, 7 3PM (career-high) Kevin Durant: 21 PTS, 5 AST Josh Okogie: 14 PTS, 7 REB”
With their victory over the Kings, the Rockets improved to 36-21 in 57 games, putting them in third place in the Western Conference. They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and have won six out of their last ten).
At home, the Rockets are 20-7 in 27 games at home. Following the Kings, they will visit the Orlando Magic in Florida.

The Rockets are coming off a season where they lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (in seven games).
They made a major move this offseason by acquiring Kevin Durant (which should give them a chance to get back to the Western Conference finals for the first time since 2018).
As for the Kings, they dropped to 13-47 in 60 games, putting them in the 15th seed in the Western Conference. They have gone 1-9 over their last ten.
