NBA World Reacts to Jonathan Kuminga’s Performance Against the Wizards
Kuminga’s performance quickly turned heads across the NBA world, especially given that the young forward saw his role and minutes shrink in Golden State earlier this season.
He was ultimately shipped to Atlanta in exchange for Kristaps Porziņģis on Feb. 5. Coming off the bench, Kuminga posted team-high numbers and led the Hawks to their 29th win of the season.
Here’s how the NBA world reacted to Kuminga’s debut performance in Atlanta:

“27 PTS (25 MIN)
7 REB
2 STL
9-12 FG
3-4 3P

“Jonathan Kuminga was an absolute steal… dude has All-Star potential.”
In the Golden State, Kuminga averaged 12.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 20 games this season. He was removed from the starting lineup and benched multiple times, never finding a consistent role in Kerr’s rotation.
With the win, the Hawks improved to 29–31. They are 3–2 in their last five games and currently sit ninth in the Eastern Conference, firmly holding a play-in spot.
