Bad Bunny’s halftime show clearly made an impact well beyond football.

As the performance wrapped up, New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns wasted no time reacting.

He posted “NUEVAYOLLLLLLLL 🔥🔥🔥” on X, a nod to one of Bad Bunny’s hit songs and a clear stamp of approval. The phrase reflects a phonetic Caribbean Spanish pronunciation of “Nueva York” (New York City), commonly used by Puerto Ricans and other Caribbean Latinos.

Knicks guard Jalen Brunson also kept it short and positive. His post simply read, “Thank you Benito.”

Not everyone focused only on the performance itself. Knicks guard Jordan Clarkson used the moment to look ahead.

He shared his wish list for future halftime shows, posting, “Super Bowl next year Tyler the creator, burna boy, posty (Post Malone), nba young boy or carti (Playboi Carti) halftime show.”

Former NBA player Admiral Schofield praised Bad Bunny but added his own twist. “Dope by Bad Bunny! It’s time to give Drake his Halftime show!”

His comment echoed a common fan sentiment that Drake has long been overdue for the Super Bowl stage.

Bad Bunny is one of the biggest artists in the world. In 2025, he became Spotify’s most-streamed artist globally for the fourth time, pulling in nearly 20 billion streams. He is also a three-time Grammy winner and has expanded into acting, including roles in “Happy Gilmore 2 and more.”

His 13-minute Super Bowl set featured songs like “Nuevayol” and “Baile Inolvidable.” The performance also included guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. One standout moment was the New York-style street set, complete with a bodega sign that read, “We accept EBT.”

That said, this wasn’t Bad Bunny’s first Super Bowl appearance. He previously joined Shakira and Jennifer Lopez onstage during the 2020 halftime show.

Super Bowl 60, meanwhile, featured a major matchup, as the New England Patriots faced the Seattle Seahawks in a rematch of Super Bowl 49. The Seahawks won 29-13.

Between the game and the halftime show, it was a night packed with history, and judging by NBA reactions, Bad Bunny delivered a performance that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
