What Will the 2026 NBA All-Star Rosters Look Like Under the New USA vs. World Format?

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game incorporates an exciting new USA vs. World format. Here is how the rosters might look like for the upcoming spectacle.

It’s the start of February, which means the 2026 NBA All-Star Game is just around the corner. The All-Star weekend is one of the league’s biggest events, as it showcases its most prominent stars and young up-and-comers all in one weekend.

However, there’s no denying that the biggest draw of the weekend is the All-Star game. The question now is, who will be participating in this year’s event?

Mock Up of the 2026 NBA All-Star Roster

Back on Nov. 12, the association announced that the 2026 NBA All-Star Game will feature a new format. This year, the All-Star Game will feature a USA vs. World setup. The idea is to have the USA All-Stars take on the international All-Stars.

There will be three teams in total. Two teams of U.S. players and one team of international players (known as the World team) will compete in a round-robin tournament featuring four 12-minute games. Each team will have at least eight players.

However, given the imbalances of the ratio between the USA and international players, the new format will be easier said than done. The association has prepared a contingency plan if the minimum requirement is not met.

“If NBA All-Star voting does not result in the selection of 16 U.S. players and eight international players (which can include American players with ties to other countries if necessary), then NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will select additional All-Stars to join either group to reach that minimum,” according to the league. “In that case, at least one team would have more than eight players.”

Having that in mind, the roster has yet to be finalized as the association is still trying to figure out how to balance the team. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the league will announce the precise roster breakdown of the All-Star roster on Tuesday.

“The NBA, I’m told, will officially announce the precise roster breakdown for the All-Star Game on Tuesday,” Stein wrote on X. It will be done on Peacock during its pregame show, which begins at 7 p.m. ET.

While we wait for the official roster breakdown, another NBA insider, Keith Smith, provided a mock-up of what this year’s All-Star roster could look like:

USA All-Stars:

  • Scottie Barnes
  • Devin Booker
  • Jaylen Brown
  • Jalen Brunson
  • Cade Cunningham
  • Stephen Curry
  • Kevin Durant
  • Jalen Duren
  • Anthony Edwards
  • Chet Holmgren
  • LeBron James
  • Jalen Johnson
  • Tyrese Maxey
  • Donovan Mitchell
  • Norman Powell
  • Karl-Anthony Towns

World All-Stars:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Deni Avdija
  • Luka Doncic
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
  • Nikola Jokic
  • Jamal Murray
  • Pascal Siakam
  • Victor Wembanyama

For now, all we can do is wait until the NBA officially makes its announcement regarding which players will be playing for which teams.
