Kevin Durant made Houston Rockets history (on Tuesday) against the San Antonio Spurs.

On Tuesday evening, the Houston Rockets played the San Antonio Spurs (at home).

The Rockets won by a score of 111-106.

Kevin Durant finished the victory with 18 points, four rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block while shooting 7/12 from the field and 2/4 from three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.

In addition to his strong night, Durant also made Rockets history.

Durant was traded to the Rockets (over the summer) after spending part of three seasons with the Phoenix Suns.

The future Hall of Famer came into the night with averages of 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest while shooting 51.0% from the field and 39.3% from three-point range in 38 games.

With their victory over the Spurs, the Rockets improved to 26-15 in 41 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak (and 15-3 at home).

Following the Spurs, the Rockets will play their next game on Thursday when they visit Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Durant was the second pick in the 2007 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball at Texas.

He has also spent time playing for the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder and Brooklyn Nets (in addition to the Suns and Rockets).

As for the Spurs, they dropped to 30-14 in 44 games, which still has them as the second seed in the Western Conference.

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games (and are 13-9 on the road).

Following the Rockets, the Spurs will play their next game on Thursday when they visit the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.
