Ball is in the middle of his sixth NBA season (all with the Hornets).
The former All-Star is averaging 20.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 41.9% from the field and 37.9% from three-point range in 31 games.

With their victory over the Lakers, the Hornets improved to 15-26 in 41 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games (and are 8-14 in 22 on the road).
Following the Lakers, the Hornets will play their next game on Saturday when they visit Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center.

While Ball has put up big numbers, the Hornets have been unable to make the NBA playoffs during his tenure with the franchise.
