Jason Kidd Made His Feelings Clear About Dallas Mavericks Star Cooper Flagg

Recently, Mavs head coach Jason Kidd spoke highly of Flagg when he met with the media.

Kidd (via WFAA): “I got a unicorn here. I got Cooper Flagg. I’m excited to come to work, to make him uncomfortable, to help him become one of the best players in the world.”

Flagg is currently averaging 18.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 47.8% from the field and 28.7% from three-point range in 40 games.

He is coming off a game where he left early with an injury.

Kidd is one of the best point guards in NBA history, spending time with the Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks over 19 seasons.

He made ten All-Star Games, and had career averages of 12.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 40.0% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range in 1,391 games.

During the 2011 season, Kidd helped lead the Mavs to the NBA Championship over LeBron James and the Miami Heat.

Kidd has also been the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

He is in his fifth season at the helm for Dallas.

During the 2024 season, they made the NBA Finals (but lost to the Boston Celtics).
