Los Angeles Lakers Announce Bronny James Update Before Clippers Game

The Los Angeles Lakers will remain without Bronny James when they play the LA Clippers on Saturday.

On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will play the LA Clippers at the Intuit Dome.

Bronny James Ruled Out For Lakers-Clippers Showdown

Bronny James has been away from the team, as he is on an extended stint with their G League franchise (South Bay).

The former USC guard will also remain out of action when the Lakers visit the Clippers.

Via Law Murray of The Athletic: “The Los Angeles Lakers report that Austin Reaves (calf), Deandre Ayton (elbow), Gabe Vincent (back), and Bronny James (South Bay) are out Saturday at LAC Rui Hachimura (groin) is questionable”

Bronny (who is in his second season) is averaging 1.9 points and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 32.3% from the field and 28.6% from three-point range in 14 games.

While the former USC guard continues to get limited playing time in the NBA, he has been able to get consistent minutes in the G League.

Right now, Bronny is averaging 9.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest while shooting 35.6% from the field and 21.2% from three-point range in six games.

As for the Lakers, they were led by Luka Dončić against the Jazz.

He erupted for 45 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists and five steals while shooting 14/28 from the field in 40 minutes of playing time.

The Lakers are currently the third seed in the Western Conference with a 19-7 record in 26 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games (and have won two in a row).

Following the Clippers, the Lakers will play their next game on Tuesday night when they visit Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.

On the other side, the Clippers enter the matchup as the 14th seed with a 6-21 record in 27 games.

They have gone 1-9 over their last ten games (and are in the middle of a five-game losing skid).

Following the Lakers, the Clippers will play their next game on Tuesday night when they host the Houston Rockets.
