Iverson was the first pick in the 1996 NBA Draft out of Georgetown.
He is most known for his legendary run with the Philadelphia 76ers (from 1996-07).
In that span, Iverson led the franchise to the 2001 NBA Finals (and he won the MVP Award that same season).

Iverson later spent time with the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies (before returning to Philadelphia for 25 games in 2009-10).
He had career averages of 26.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.2 steals per contest while shooting 42.5% from the field and 31.3% from three-point range in 914 games.

As for the current 76ers, they are the sixth seed in Eastern Conference with a 14-11 record in 25 games.
They have one of the most talented rosters with Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and Paul George.
That said, the 76ers are coming off a year where they were unable to stay healthy (and missed the 2025 NBA playoffs).
