Halloween gives NBA players a chance to express their creative sides and Milwaukee Bucks franchise player Giannis Antetokounmpo got in on the action early. While he sat out the Bucks’ victory over the Golden State Warriors, Antetokounmpo still made headlines for his pregame arrival.

How Did Giannis Antetokounmpo Go Viral For His Pregame Arrival?
Bleacher Report spotlighted Antetokounmpo before his team’s 120-110 victory over the Warriors, saying, ” Giannis pulling up in a Minion costume for Halloween.” Minions originate from the Despicable Me movie franchise. The species of yellow creatures are considered a highlight because of their comedic timing. Antetokounmpo is a fan of Halloween, and has previously dressed up as Mr. Potato Head and The Hulk, among other characters.

Bucks’ official X handle showcased the costume writing, “The tallest Minion you’ve ever seen.”
In general, Antetokounmpo is viewed as an easy-going, fun loving guy off the court and one of the league’s most intense competitors on the court. Despite the fun and games, Antetokounmpo is serious about his commitment to winning another NBA championship.

The two-time league MVP has put pressure on the Bucks after three straight early round playoff exits. The Bucks have replaced coaches and overhauled their roster. The new season will eventually reveal how that pans out for them. This past off-season there were widespread speculations that he is considering leaving if things continue to stagnate.
Head Coach Doc Rivers is tasked with elevating the Bucks back to their status as true title contenders and perhaps ensuring that Antetokounmpo finishes his career with the Bucks. The two-time league MVP has one guaranteed year left on his contract after this season before deciding whether to exercise his player option or enter free agency.
The Bucks have gotten off to a strong start this season, as they are currently third in the Eastern Conference with a 4-1 record. Antetokounmpo is absolutely dominating this season, averaging 36.3 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists per game, while shooting 69.5% from the field. He’s on pace for his third straight season averaging more than 30 points per game while shooting better than 60 percent from the field.
The experiment of trying to become a better perimeter shooter has ended, as his three point attempts have drastically declined the last few seasons. Antetokounmpo is simply doing what he does better than arguably anyone in the NBA: using his speed, strength, and length to dominate around the paint.
