Zach Ertz was shaken up at the end of a 19-yard catch in Week 15. What's the latest on the Commanders tight end?

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz was shaken up in the second quarter during the team’s Week 15 game vs. the New Orleans Saints. Below are the latest injury updates on the Washington tight end.

    What Happened to Zach Ertz?

Ertz was shaken up after landing hard on a 19-yard reception with 6:12 remaining in the second quarter.

Ertz exited to the blue medical tent, with reporters noting that a neurological trauma consultant entered the tent as well.

Those initial fear were apparently confirmed upon further examination. At halftime, the team officially declared Ertz out with a head injury.

The tight end caught both his targets for 25 yards before his day came to an end.

Fantasy Impact if Ertz Is Out

Ertz has been a viable TE streamer this season, in part due to a lack of depth at the position and in part due to a lack of a secondary option in this pass game next to Terry McLaurin.

Ertz’s veteran savvy has allowed him to fill that void for PPR managers, and I like his value moving forward if he can return (Noah Brown out for the season), but this is a specific situation — there isn’t a fill-in option to consider in Washington.
