The latest episode of Monday Night RAW saw R-Truth in a whole new avatar. He came out dressed in all black, addressed the crowd, asking everyone to put some respect on his name. He also announced that he would now be known as Ron Killings. The veteran then went on to chop off his hair.
This signaled the beginning of a new persona for Truth, and the segment was one of the most watched across WWE socials. However, WWE legend Bully Ray took exception to how the segment ended. Well, Killings didn’t hold back in his response to Ray, hinting that it is not only his look that has changed.
R-Truth Goes off on an Explosive Tirade
At the end of his segment on RAW, Truth said, “I am Ron Killings! I am the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!” But former tag team champion Ray believed Killings shouldn’t have used the word ‘Truth,’ especially after cutting his hair.
Killings, who made an appearance on Busted Open Radio, let his feelings be known and didn’t hold back in his rant against Ray or anybody looking to dictate his path.
After being shown a clip of Ray’s comments, Killings responded by saying, “Who the f**k is he talking to? Who’s he to tell me who I am? … See, everybody has somebody that is trying to tell them who the f**k they are. I know who I am. I’m not the nice one. I’m driving now…They better put some respect on my name, cause I am the truth.”
As hosts Dave LaGreca and Natalya tried to get to grips with what was being said, Killings continued his rant. “How are you going to tell me why I cut my hair? I do what I want to do. It ain’t that nice time no more. I’m not angry. I just won’t be taken advantage of no more. Things are gonna change around here,” he added.
Over the years, Truth has been a comedic on-screen character in WWE who was hugely popular with the fans. But now it appears he has taken on a more serious persona. It will be interesting to see how this new attitude translates in WWE and how it sits with the WWE Universe that has grown accustomed to seeing him as the fun-loving babyface for years.
Truth has been on a hot trail ever since his shocking return to WWE, and fans will be eager to see what’s next for him.
R-Truth Shocked Everyone With WWE Return
A few days before the Money in the Bank PLE, Truth announced on X (formerly Twitter) that his contract with WWE was expiring and that he was leaving the company. This led to an outpouring of support from fans, with many directing anger towards the company.
However, during the main event of the PLE, Truth shockingly showed up to cost John Cena and Logan Paul their match against Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. His appearance led to one of the loudest pops of the year, and it broke the internet.
Later, it was revealed that Truth had signed a new deal with WWE. For now, Truth’s new attitude is a breath of fresh air, and as he said, he’s driving now, and we all here for this ride.
