Lately, there’s a storm around Solo Sikoa. Ever since Sikoa claimed the throne of the new Bloodline after Roman Reigns’ departure, the WWE Universe haven’t exactly rolled out the red carpet. This stems from last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, when Solo Sikoa emerged as the new leader of the faction, with Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo (aka Jeff Cobb) being the muscle of the group.
However, veteran wrestling commentator and journalist Sam Roberts took his stand on Sikoa’s case, claiming the former NXT North American Champion is performing his current role with absolute perfection.
Solo Sikoa Can Move Up the Ranks Quickly on the Main Roster
Speaking on the recent episode of his podcast, Notsam Wrestling, Roberts admitted that last week on SmackDown, Sikoa’s microphone skills showed that he is ready to move to the upper echelon, and this new Bloodline under him would thrive more, even better than what Roman Reigns did when he was the leader of the faction.
Interestingly, Roberts claimed that there was a possibility that the WWE creatives rooted for Jacob Fatu to take the throne as the new leader, and do the talking and walking for the faction. Furthermore, Roberts noted how far the 32-year-old Samoan has come since making his debut on the main roster.
He noted that two years ago, Sikoa was just an enforcer, with no promos, no free will; he just had a serious look on his face. And now, Sikoa carries himself on the microphone with no Paul Heyman or Roman Reigns helping him out. Moreover, Roberts noted that with the current trajectory of Sikoa, it is only a matter of time before Triple H wraps a major title around his waist.
Solo Sikoa Qualifies for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Sikoa faced Rey Fenix and Jimmy Uso in the men’s Money in the Bank qualifier match. The bout was filled with many unexpected spots and bumps, with all three superstars going at each other over and over again.
Interestingly, towards the end of the match, it felt like Fenix would eventually seal the deal and get the three-count to advance to Money in the Bank PLE, but in the end, Sikoa emerged victorious to seal the deal.
Now that Sikoa has a legitimate shot at becoming a World Champion in WWE, it will be interesting to see how the former enforcer of the Bloodline will move forward from here.
