Kelly Kelly Wants to Wrestle for Her Children
One of WWE’s most famous women’s stars, Kelly Kelly, had a short but successful run in the Stamford-based company from 2006 to 2012. Her career arguably peaked in 2011 when she became a WWE Divas Champion after defeating Brie Bella and held the title for months. But a year later, she had to hang up her boots because of a neck injury and went to pursue a career in modeling. Since then, Kelly has made several appearances for WWE but never became a regular again.
Kelly made guest appearances, including competing in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018 and again in 2020 and 2022. She also participated in WWE’s first all-female PLE, Evolution, in 2018. In 2019, she made history by becoming the first woman to win the WWE 24/7 Championship during a special RAW Reunion episode.
In 2023, she gave birth to beautiful twins and hasn’t competed in any match since then. But now, she wants her children to watch her wrestle live. The former Divas Champion recently expressed this desire to wrestle again while speaking to “Vegas Sports Daily.” When she was asked about the growth of women’s wrestling, she praised the women’s division and also revealed her wish to return:
“It’s really so amazing. I mean, I… almost started 20 years ago. So to see how it is now and see how much it’s grown and how many things the women are doing, how much time they’re given, it’s just amazing. It’s truly amazing. And I just hope to come back one day, have a match, and have my kids see me.”
