Logan Paul and AJ Styles are among the few WWE superstars who found themselves in an unprecedented storyline heading into WrestleMania 41.
They have amplified the excitement levels for their match at the Showcase of Immortals, owing to their impressive streak of stealing the show when the lights shine bright, and more importantly, after an exceptionally timed move on “Monday Night Raw” this week.
Logan Paul Gets the Better of Former WWE Champion AJ Styles on RAW
Styles revisited his 2023 program with Karrion Kross on RAW this week. After Styles defeated The Doom Walker, Paul interrupted his post-match celebration. Paul and Kross attempted to attack Styles together.
Although the former WWE champion appeared to have the matter handled at first, the numbers game got to him. The Maverick ended up hitting The Phenomenal One with his finisher, a modified DDT, dubbed the “Paulverizer.”
The move has impressed WWE fans, who still despise him, but simply cannot deny that he is built for the professional wrestling industry.
Paul became a full-time wrestler in 2025 following WWE RAW’s move to Netflix, although there has been some talk about Paul being on the verge of getting fired.
In more ways than one, Styles may be a pitch-perfect opponent for The Maverick as Styles is a veteran of the industry who began his impressive WrestleMania streak of show-stealing matches nearly a decade ago.
At the Show of Shows, The Phenomenal One has wrestled against the likes of Chris Jericho, Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Edge, and most recently, LA Knight, and has main-evented the 2020 edition against The Undertaker in the latter’s retirement match.
How Paul, Styles Got Booked in Potential Show-Stealer at WrestleMania 41
AJ Styles decided to finally confront internet sensation Logan Paul a few weeks ago at Madison Square Garden, after Paul repeatedly ridiculed Styles for still hanging on to the business even past his prime. The Phenomenal One had only returned to the ring at the 2025 Royal Rumble after suffering an untimely injury in the fall last year.
The Maverick is cited by many as, ironically, a phenomenal athlete, but the WWE faithful do not like him. He has go-away heat. At The Garden, he attempted to get special guest, comedian Andrew Schulz, on his side against the fans. However, Schulz did not budge.
This provoked Paul, who pulled the comedian over the barricade and almost caught him with his finisher, the “Paulverizer,” in the middle of the ring. AJ Styles rushed to the ring and prevented it from happening, setting up their WrestleMania 41 clash.
