When Will Seth Rollins Strike? 3 Potential 2025 Cash-In Moments for Mr. Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins added another accolade to his impressive career this past weekend by becoming a two-time Mr. Money in the Bank.

While it took some help from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, the former Shield member was able to win the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and put himself in a great position to become a world champion once again. But when could he cash it in?

WWE SummerSlam

If WWE doesn’t want to wait too long for Rollins to cash in his briefcase, then WWE SummerSlam would be a great opportunity for him to do it. This year, it’s a two-night event, so the company will obviously want to get as many noteworthy moments as possible.

Rollins will likely find himself in a major match at some point over that weekend, potentially against the likes of Roman Reigns or CM Punk. But he could end up getting all the attention by cashing in his briefcase as well.

It would wrap up the storyline of him from WWE WrestleMania 41 to WWE SummerSlam of building up his crew, and would then allow him to dominate all the way toward WWE WrestleMania 42.

John Cena’s Final Night

Rollins doesn’t need to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase anytime soon, and WWE could opt to drag it out for a full year. However, if the cash-in was to take place in 2025, it could be held until the very end.

A cash-in is always a major moment, and if done right, it has the potential to create a babyface turn. If WWE wanted to pivot Rollins’ character in a new direction, then having him cash in on John Cena’s final night would achieve that.

This would need WWE to keep the title on Cena until that point, building up the idea that he will leave the company as the last real world champion. Cena would defend the title and seemingly be walking out until Rollins put a stop to it, which would be an effective babyface turn if WWE wanted to do that.

The Moment Cody Rhodes Wins the World Title

There’s no guarantee that Cena will hold onto the Undisputed WWE championship until the night he retires, and WWE might not want Rollins to be a babyface anytime soon. That’s why having him cash in on Cody Rhodes would be another possible outcome.

The American Nightmare is more than likely going to find himself in a title match against Cena at some point this year, and if he wins that, it would mark a perfect moment for Rollins to strike.

The two men have been rivals ever since Rhodes returned to WWE, with Rollins being his first opponent. It would be fitting to see Rollins cost him the exact moment that Rhodes gets back on top of the industry, setting up a major storyline moving forward.
