Ultimate Guide to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXIX: How to Watch, Full Match Card, Start Time, Venue and More

The build to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event reached its penultimate stop this past Monday on RAW. Some rivalries intensified while adding more layers to them. There were hints that fans may have picked up regarding what to expect on May 24 and even past it.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event: How to Watch, Start Time, Venue, and Full Match Card

  • TV Channel: NBC
  • Stream: Peacock for fans in the United States, and Netflix for other countries
  • Start Time: 8 pm ET
  • Venue/Location: Yeungling Center, Tampa, Florida

Four matches have been announced for the 39th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which includes “Main Event” Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight title defense. The full match card is listed below:

  • Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul for the World Heavyweight Championship
  • CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker
  • John Cena vs. R-Truth (Non-Title Match)
  • Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre (Steel Cage match)

Whether Paul is a worthy contender to Uso is debatable, as a large section of the WWE Universe is disappointed that the upcoming match against The Maverick is Main Event Jey’s first title defense since WrestleMania 41. Be that as it may, the former United States Champion has grown exponentially, which is evident in his recent appearances.

This past Monday, he had the crowd in the palm of his hands. Interestingly, WWE also teased a potential interference in the World Heavyweight title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Gunther interrupted Paul’s promo. The Austrian Anomaly praised The Maverick for the latter’s business approach, noting his “self-made” success story. However, Gunther also informed Paul that wrestling is personal to him and subsequently issued a warning that he would eat Paul alive if the former United States Champion managed to get past Uso on Saturday.

Also this Saturday, The Last Real Champion will be in action as he squares off with R-Truth in a non-title match. Perhaps the title is not on the line because WWE wants fans to believe Truth has a shot at pulling off the upset.

Priest and McIntyre will lock horns in a WrestleMania 41 rematch. Considering the bad blood between the two and how fans have realized that this is a feud worth investing time in, one can safely assume WWE would want to keep it going. In that case, The Punisher could walk out with the win.

Finally, Punk and Zayn have forged an unlikely alliance to take on the new powerhouse duo, Rollins and Breakker. According to a WWE insider, Punk has a lot to lose here, including a match against Cena at Money in the Bank on June 7.
