John Cena is one of the most loved superstars of WWE. But now, things have changed. Cena has turned heel, and most people are not happy about it. Fans are booing him, and even other wrestlers are against him. With Backlash 2025 coming soon, The Last Real Champion seems more alone than ever. However, not everyone has turned their back on him. One WWE legend is still standing by his side. And no, it’s not The Rock; it is R-Truth.
John Cena is Getting Booed Everywhere
John Cena used to be the good guy in WWE. Fans cheered him for winning big matches and being a hero. But after turning heel, everything changed. Cena is now cocky, mean, and acts like he is better than everyone. This newer version of him is getting hate all across the WWE Universe. Other superstars are not happy with him either. Many are criticizing him for only caring about staying champion and not helping younger wrestlers. Some say he is selfish now and is not the same guy he used to be.
At Backlash 2025, The Last Real Champion will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton. Most fans are rooting for Orton to beat him. Cena is not used to being hated like this. But he seems ready to fight everyone if he has to. Even with all the hate, Cena still has one supporter, and it showed during SmackDown.

On Friday Night SmackDown, there was a funny backstage moment featuring R-Truth and John Cena. Unlike everyone else, R-Truth was nice to his “childhood hero.” He treated Cena like an old friend and not a bad guy. R-Truth told The Franchise Player that he is proud of him and that he is the real World Champion. The veteran also told The Champ to call him whenever he needs his help.
After Cena left, Jimmy Uso came to talk to R-Truth. He tried to show the former 24/7 Champion the real Cena, but Truth stayed loyal. The 53-year-old said he wants to be just like Cena when he grows up, to which Uso replied that he’s already grown up. Fans loved this moment because it showed true admiration. Even when the whole world is against Cena, R-Truth is still in his corner, standing by him whenever needed.
John Cena is used to being cheered, but now he is getting booed everywhere. Most fans and wrestlers want to see him lose. But R-Truth reminded everyone that real friends do not walk away when times get hard. As Backlash gets closer, The Last Real Champion may be fighting alone in the ring, but he knows that he still has someone behind him. In the tough world of WWE, sometimes having just one true friend makes all the difference.
