Seth Rollins Recreates Brutal Chair Shot Moment on Roman Reigns During RAW

Roman Reigns appeared on the April 14 edition of Monday Night RAW to cap off the night but was served a big fat plate of a brutal chair shot in the back, courtesy of Seth Rollins, a man he’s quite familiar with for over a decade.

The WWE Universe was in for quite a ride on this week’s RAW as we head towards WrestleMania 41. The final episode of WWE’s flagship show before this year’s Show of Shows unpacked a lot of action and shocking twists of events.

Seth Rollins repeats history by attacking Roman Reigns

During his in-ring promo, Reigns labeled Paul Heyman a traitor for saying yes to Punk’s favor. He demanded an explanation as to why he chose his friendship with The Second City Saint over his loyalty to his Tribal Chief. The 59-year-old veteran manager responded that he was bound by his word.

The Messiah showed up moments later, interrupting to plant seeds of conflict between The OTC and his Special Counsel. He tried to turn the former WWE Undisputed Champion against Heyman by calling out the latter for choosing to side with Punk at Mania, even though he could’ve simply refused.

Reigns promptly grew frustrated with Rollins’ verbal barrage and ultimately snapped, attacking The Visionary. Heyman was delighted to see Reigns ambush Rollins. He acknowledged his Tribal Chief, but that didn’t end too well for Heyman, who was shoved down instead.

With a look of utter surprise, Heyman lay flat on the mat as CM Punk intervened and went after Reigns. The two battled for a while, and Reigns got the upper hand, but he didn’t get the last laugh.

The fans saw The Visionary strike Reigns down with a chair shot in the back. Rollins was the last man standing as RAW went off air.

The chair shot, of course, was similar to the one from 2014 when The Shield splintered. Reigns and Rollins were a part of one of the most popular factions of all time alongside Dean Ambrose (now AEW’s Jon Moxley).

The faction reigned supreme for years until the Monday Night Messiah backstabbed his Shield brothers to join hands with The Authority (Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s heel faction).

In one of the shocking moments in WWE history, the fans witnessed The Architect hit The Big Dog in the back with a steel chair on June 2, 2014, on RAW, thereby dissolving the faction.
