Roman Reigns and The Rock’s WWE Salary in 2025 Revealed: A Problem That Must Be Addressed

The Rock and Roman Reigns are two of the biggest names in sports entertainment, and that is something that WWE is certainly aware of. Both men can command a lot of attention for the company, and that’s something WWE evidently values due to how highly they pay both men.

How Much Does WWE Pay The Rock And Roman Reigns?

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are seven wrestlers in WWE currently making over $5 million per year, and The Rock and Reigns find themselves in that category.

Reigns is the highest earner in the company right now, which might not surprise a lot of people, given he’s often promoted as the face of WWE. But he’s the only person earning more than The Rock, which might surprise fans given the stage of his career that he’s in, as it’s unknown if the Hollywood star will even wrestle again at this point.

Why WWE Needs to Address Their Wages

The Rock and Reigns are big stars who get huge ovations whenever they appear on a show, and there’s no denying that they attract an audience to buy tickets or tune in at home. However, neither man is a full-time star, barely giving the company three months over the course of the full year when their total dates worked or appearances are factored in.

The Rock is already on the board with TKO, but his talent fee is a separate situation, and he’s only made a couple of appearances in 2025. Given that WWE is releasing talent such as R-Truth, who the company feels are overpriced after they reach a certain age, it’s hard to justify paying big fees to someone who doesn’t show up.

WWE is happily paying millions of dollars to wrestlers who barely appear, or don’t even wrestle like The Rock, while wrestlers such as Carlito, who work every week, are losing their jobs.

It’s an issue that fans are starting to be vocal about, which is what led to R-Truth being brought back to WWE as they demanded it.

But when the two top earners are part-timers, it is a concerning trend for any company, and is something WWE must focus on. Not only does it showcase them not rewarding the people who are pouring their blood, sweat, and tears into the business daily, but it also tells other wrestlers that when they reach that point in their careers, they could end up requesting to work a limited schedule, which doesn’t help WWE.

  1. If you are going to write articles about wwe, you should educate yourselves more about the product. This article is a terrible use of references. Carlito and R Truth don’t wrestle much either.
