With WrestleMania 42’s location up in the air, New Orleans has been awarded with Money in the Bank as a consolation prize. All signs are pointing towards back-to-back WrestleMania events in Las Vegas. Ultimately, The Rock has been the talking point once again, with numerous people within WWE pointing the finger and making jokes at The Rock’s expense.
Another Thing Connected to The Rock Went Awry
The Rock appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” not too long ago to discuss his appearance on the Elimination Chamber, which was “due to low ticket sales.” He also discussed the WrestleMania main event and how he would’ve done things differently, but failed to appear after setting everything up at Elimination Chamber. The Rock has been missing from WWE since that moment, but he was the one to announce WrestleMania in New Orleans.
While The Rock didn’t do anything wrong with that announcement, it is something that people who work for WWE haven’t taken lightly. Changing locations for WrestleMania is unheard of, especially after it has already been announced for quite some time. With Rock’s announcement taking place in February, WWE has had three months to stay the course, something they have once again failed to do.
Most likely, Las Vegas made a last-minute offer that was higher than that of New Orleans. Since TKO has taken over, The Rock has been the talk of the town, but there’s no doubt the company prioritizes money over anything else. Ticket prices have gone through the roof, but WWE will stop at nothing as they’re able to promote record gates and boast about how much money they are making.
With WrestleMania no longer in New Orleans, the city will be hosting Money in the Bank in 2026. WrestleMania is now planned for New Orleans, Orlando, Indianapolis, Saudi Arabia, and other places, such as Nashville and Minneapolis, have been discussed for years. Going back to Las Vegas is far from The Rock’s decision, but it’s easy to point the finger at someone who has consistently been the common denominator.
IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.
1. No The Rock vs. Roman Reigns
2. Not showing up at WrestleMania 41
3. WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans“The Final Boss” The Rock warned us his three goals would fail, but we missed it.

In a world where Travis Scott may be wrestling at Money in the Bank, The Rock not showing up has screwed up numerous WrestleMania matches in the past. He has yet to face Roman Reigns, and the window for that match is likely closed. Many are still waiting for him to face Cody Rhodes, another match that was thrown away for absolutely nothing. The Rock is not a perfect man, but he’s burned WWE time and time again these past few years.
