WWE has released several major names this year, including Braun Strowman and Dakota Kai. The shocking roster cuts also affected rising NXT stars like Priscilla Kelly (aka Gigi Dolin). After her heartbreaking departure from WWE, Kelly tried to move forward in her career. However, she got injured in her very first match and recently shared an update with fans on social media.
Priscilla Kelly Shares Update About Her Knee Injury
Kelly was released from WWE earlier this year along with many other notable names. After parting ways with the company, she didn’t waste any time moving forward and even competed in her first post-WWE match recently. Her opponent was none other than her real-life fiancé, TNA’s Zachary Wentz.
This unique bout took place at Wrestling Revolver’s Cage of Horrors show. Unfortunately, the clash turned into a nightmare for her and her fans, as she suffered an injury that caused the match to be stopped earlier than expected.
She recently took to social media to clear up confusion among fans about what exactly happened. Kelly opened up about the injury that ended her match prematurely and revealed that it’s an issue she’s dealt with before:
“My patella came out of place. It does that from time to time. It’s an anatomy issue I’ve had my whole life, and I’ve managed to always work through it, even sometimes continuing matches after it happens. It’s not an ‘injury’, it just hurts a good bit and I have to ‘pop’ it back in place. Now ya know. Sorry, guys,” Kelly wrote on X.
