WWE SmackDown had a fatal four-way match scheduled for the first round of the King of the Ring tournament on the June 13 episode at Lexington, Kentucky. The match featured LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, Aleister Black, and “The Viper” Randy Orton. What happened near the decisive moments of the match shocked the entire WWE Universe.
King of the Ring First Round Chaos on WWE SmackDown
The match was explosive from the beginning, with all four superstars laying punches on each other. The fatal four-way turned into two one-on-one matches, with Hayes taking on Black and Knight taking on Orton.
The action continued outside the ring, with Orton dropping Black onto the announcer’s table. Black almost caught Orton for a “Black Mass,” but he escaped. Black then dominated the ring, knocking all three men down.
Orton prepared for a double-DDT off the ropes to Hayes and Black, but The Megastar came from behind, delivering a jumping neck-breaker to Orton and taking out Hayes and Black in the process.
Bron Breakker and “Big” Bronson Reed Invade WWE SmackDown
Near the decisive moments of the match, Reed and Breakker intervened. As the Megastar hyped the crowd with his “L! A! Knight! Yeah!” chants, Reed pulled his arm and knocked him down the top rope. Before he could recover and get up, Breakker hit him with a spear.

This feud between Knight and Breakker-Reed has been going on since SmackDown before Money in the Bank. Rollins attacked Knight and Penta who were his opponents during the ladders match, sparking their rivalry. Last week, Knight cost Breakker his spot in King of the Ring tournament.
Orton is now set to face Sami Zayn in the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament scheduled for next week’s WWE SmackDown.
