After R-Truth’s Fan-Driven Push, WWE Universe Rallies Behind SmackDown Star’s Overlooked Booking

The WWE Universe recently showcased its full power with the vocal support of R-Truth following his release by the company. The consistent “We want Truth” chants and social media support led to the company re-hiring the veteran, with the situation being so serious that Nick Khan had to get involved in the contract negotiations.

The company might not always listen to what fans want, with Karrion Kross’ lack of push being an example. However, when the noise is overwhelming, the powers have no choice but to respond.

That’s why the WWE Universe is now turning attention to LA Knight, who is a wrestler that fans are keen to see be given more opportunities.

LA Knight Was Removed From WWE’s Banner

Knight has been a popular star throughout his time in WWE, despite the company never truly getting behind him at a main event level. He has always had a place on the shows, but it hasn’t been in the prominent role that fans would like.

Fans felt that WWE viewed Knight as a top star, but a recent company decision has led to people questioning that. The WWE website features a banner of the company’s biggest stars, and while Knight was part of that, he was removed this week when the image was updated.

Jacob Fatu, Randy Orton, and Roman Reigns are all featured in that, but Knight’s absence has alerted WWE fans, who are now concerned about his status within the company.

The WWE Universe Wants LA Knight

WWE might’ve been willing to remove Knight from its banner, featuring the top WWE Superstars, but that doesn’t mean fans are willing to give up on him. The experienced wrestler has built up an overwhelming amount of support during his time in WWE, particularly on the main roster.

However, the fan reactions he has gained haven’t led to big opportunities inside the ring. While he might’ve been pushed as the face of WWE’s Slim Jim partnership, fans want to see Knight competing in the main event scene.

The former TNA Wrestling star has held the United States title on two different occasions, but the WWE Universe is keen for him not to be restricted to the mid-card as they believe he can offer more.

This has led to a new movement on social media, with fans rallying behind him with a #WeWantLAKnight trend in the hope that he will be given a push. However, whether this will have the same level of success as their attempts to get R-Truth re-hired will remain to be seen.

Knight is a two-time United States Champion and has a 1-0 record at WrestleMania, winning his only match there against AJ Styles.
