‘Being Collaborative With Punk is One of My Favorite Things’ – Triple H Talks Surprise Shift on His Relationship With CM Punk

Triple H and CM Punk have had a strained relationship in the past. It’s no secret how critical both superstars were of each other, but as they say, time heals all wounds and it did in their case. Recently, The Game outlined how their relationship has improved after years of butting heads and having a clash of opinions on various topics.

Triple H spoke about his new and collaborative relationship with CM Punk

During a recent interview with High Performance, WWE CCO Triple H spoke about the shift in his relationship with CM Punk. Highlighting one particular instance, Triple H was told that Punk rejected a creative pitch that was presented to him. The Game went to him, and both were open to discussing the issue.

He said, We’ve had a couple of moments since his return, there was one moment where he’d return and they told him something creatively and they told me, ‘He does not like this.’ I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll talk to him.’ Went and talked to him. ‘What’s going on?’ I told him the creative and he was like, ‘That’s good, whatever.’ I was like, ‘I know you don’t like it. Everybody’s told me. Let’s be open.”

Triple H further revealed that the duo put their minds together and came up with something better. He added it was a surprise shift in their relationship. Triple H also stated that being collaborative with CM Punk is one of his favorite things for WWE television.

“He complained about what it was and I said, ‘Let’s go sit and talk about it and come up with something good.’ That sort of changed, it was like a paradigm shift for us relationship-wise, and now, it’s a funny thing for me to say, sitting down and being collaborative with CM Punk is one of my favorite things in TV because he shares a very similar view at the end of the day of the business as I do, said Triple H.

CM Punk will main event his first WrestleMania under Triple H’s regime

CM Punk made his WWE debut in 2006 and quickly crawled up the ranks. His undeniable, no-nonsense, straight-edge persona got him immensely popular with the fans in the Vince McMahon regime. Despite the fanfare and top-tier feuds, the former WWE Champion never got what he truly wanted- to main event WrestleMania. But it will all change this year, under Triple H.

The Best in the World will finally realise his lifelong dream of main eventing WrestleMania this year in Las Vegas. It comes as a surprise that Punk will main event WrestleMania under Triple H’s direction and even reportedly has big plans for SummerSlam 2025, considering the heated past the duo had.

However, both Punk and The King of Kings share a collaborative relationship today. It certainly proves one thing- Triple H can do anything that is best for business, even if it means reconciling with former foes.
