R-Truth was unceremoniously released from WWE a week ago. But fans were not ready to accept it. They voiced their support and forced the company to bring him back at the 2025 Money in the Bank PLE. On the following edition of RAW, Truth came out and announced a major change for himself. This prompted an award-winning music artist to urge Triple H to let him make something new for Truth’s new character.

Witnessing R-Truth undergo a makeover on the Jun. 9 edition of Monday Night RAW, popular rapper Metro Boomin floated an idea via his X. He urged WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H to let him make a new theme song for the tenured veteran. Metro tweeted, “Please let’s do the new @RonKillings theme @WWE @TripleH, I beg.”

The former United States Champion announced a week ago that WWE would not be renewing his contract, and he was set to leave the company with which he had spent 15 years. This was met with a huge backlash from the WWE Universe and led to the start of the ‘We Want Truth’ movement. It took over social media and on the following editions of SmackDown and RAW.
Within seven days, the Stamford-based promotion reconsidered its decision and signed him to a new contract. He made his shocking appearance under a hood and appeared at the end of the main event match at WWE Money in the Bank 2025. Truth attacked John Cena, and his return was met with a huge response.
On the fallout edition of WWE RAW, he came out and stood on the announcer’s desk. Truth acknowledged the outpouring of support he received from fans, which led to his comeback. However, in a sudden turn of events, the former 24/7 Champion said that he had been pleasant and funny for too long, and it was time to make a change.
R-Truth just shocked EVERYONE with what he did!

At that moment, he took out a pair of scissors and chopped off his long locks, undergoing a makeover right in front of fans. He then declared that he was no longer R-Truth, but Ron Killings, and asked everyone to put some respect in front of his name. This signaled the start of his reported “one true run” in WWE.
Moreover, this reportedly was also a condition Truth asked for while signing a new contract following a discussion with WWE President Nick Khan. So, it will be interesting to see if Metro Boomin gets a chance to make music for not R-Truth but Ron Killings.
