Mark Henry Reveals Why R-Truth aka Ron Killings Cutting His Hair on WWE RAW Meant Serious Business

R-Truth’s shocking return during the closing moments of Money in the Bank was one of the most loved surprises wrestling fans have seen in recent times. His comeback is currently one of the hottest topics, and from fans to wrestling veterans alike, everyone is sharing their excitement and thoughts about it.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, who had earlier expressed his disappointment with the company and its chief content officer, Triple H, for letting Truth go, is just as excited as the rest of the wrestling universe about this surprise. He recently shared his thoughts on why Truth cut his hair on the latest episode of RAW.

The Money in the Bank main event, in which John Cena teamed up with Logan Paul against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, took an unexpected turn. Just as Team Cena was seemingly heading toward victory, a mystery figure arrived and attacked the Undisputed WWE Champion with the belt, costing them the match.

The mystery man was none other than Truth, the very superstar fans had been chanting for and urging WWE to bring back. On the June 9 episode of RAW, Truth made an appearance to address his return and thank fans for making it possible.

The way he cut his promo was quite intriguing. Fans were already surprised by Bayley’s return—she came back to take revenge on Becky Lynch for what happened before WrestleMania 41. Moments later, Truth hijacked the announcers’ table, wearing the same attire from his Money in the Bank return.

While addressing the crowd, he expressed his gratitude to fans, saying he wouldn’t be back without their support. He then declared that he is no longer the same Truth and stated that he is Ron Kiilings now. The veteran then shockingly cut his hair after saying:

“We all love R-Truth. I love R-Truth, too. But R-Truth can be too funny all the time. R-truth can be too nice, and he’s too forgiving. Not me. I feel different. I feel alive. You think I’m some sideshow act? You think I’m a gimmick?”

Many are wondering—why did Killings cut his hair? Henry answered this on a recent episode of his “Busted Open” podcast, saying he could relate:

“That’s a heavy statement. I know what that feels like. There was a time in 2010—a lot of people remember me with tresses. I woke up one day and said, ‘No more. I’m done with this. I’m tired of it.’ And I cut it.”

Whether Killings was tired of being Truth or of his hair is unclear, but one thing is sure—he won’t be the same as before. Fans are now eager to see what more changes he’ll bring and what storylines he’ll get involved in going forward.
