Logan Paul Admits He Had No Idea About R-Truth’s WWE Return, Despite Being a Part of It

WWE fans were in for a shock at Money in the Bank. During the main event, which saw John Cena team up with Logan Paul to take on Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes, R-Truth came out to attack Cena. This was a massive surprise, given that Truth had announced his departure from WWE only a few days before the PLE.

In a post on X, Truth had mentioned that his contract was expiring and that he would be leaving WWE after 17 years of service. What followed was an immediate and loud backlash from fans, with TKO and Triple H coming under fire. However, his return in Los Angeles stumped everyone, including Paul.

Logan Paul Claims He Had No Idea R-Truth Had Signed a New Deal With WWE

During the Money in the Bank PLE main event, Paul had taken out Jey Uso thanks to a moonsault from the apron onto the announce table. This allowed Cena to take down Rhodes with the title belt. Just when it looked like Cena was closing in on the win, someone jumped him and beat him down, only to reveal it was none other than R-Truth.

The reveal drew one of the loudest pops this year and stunned everyone watching. Paul shared this sentiment, too.

Speaking on his IMPAULSIVE podcast, he said, “You know I’m sitting there like basically knocked out and Cody and John are in the ring, I’m rooting for my guy John. Get us that win, John, and dude out of nowhere comes f****** R Truth, who I thought was fired.”

‘The Maverick’ also mentioned that R-Truth’s blockbuster return was kept a secret even from him, despite the YouTuber being part of the matchup.

“I thought that WWE let him go. Also, here’s the thing: no one told me R-Truth was coming. I didn’t even know. So bro, I’m sitting there, and he comes back, I’m like, what the f*** is he doing here,” he added on his podcast.

It has since been revealed that Truth has signed a new deal, but during the Money in the Bank press conference, Triple H mentioned that it was all a work.

Work or not, it got the fans jumping out of their seats and was a genuine shock. As for Truth, he appeared on RAW and announced that he is done playing around, while revealing a new persona.

R-Truth Cuts His Hair on RAW

As Wade Barrett and Michael Cole were addressing the fans on commentary, R-Truth showed up dressed in all black. He jumped on the announce desk and cut a promo thanking the fans for their vocal support.

He then said, “I love R-Truth, too. But R-Truth can be too funny all the time. R-Truth can be too nice, and he’s too forgiving. Not me.” He took out a pair of scissors and chopped off his locks to ‘Holy s***’ chants,

He said that the “Truth has set me free” and declared that “I am Ron Killings.” It will be interesting to see what direction WWE goes in with Ron Killings and his newfound persona. Could a feud with Paul be on the cards? We’ll have to wait and see.
