Kenny Omega Spits Up Blood, Hospitalized After Brutal AEW Dynamite Incident

Kenny Omega is set to fight his legendary rival, Kazuchika Okada, in a huge ‘Winner Takes All’ match for the AEW Unified Championship at All In Texas. It is set to be the latest chapter in one of wrestling’s most iconic rivalries of all time.

However, hostilities took over before the match itself, as Okada launched a brutal beatdown of Omega on AEW Dynamite. It resulted in him being sent to the hospital. The Rainmaker made a strong statement with this attack.

Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada’s Contract Signing on Dynamite

Omega and Okada were set to sign the contract for their match at All In Texas. The two wrestlers were introduced by Tony Schiavone, following which the Japanese star signed the contract.

The Best Bout Machine grabbed a microphone and urged his rival to give it his all come All In. He signed the contract and shook Okada’s hand. Don Callis interrupted the proceedings as the crowd rained him with loud boos.

Callis began speaking before Omega cut him off, declaring that he knew all of his tricks. However, the veteran got the better of his former associate again, revealing that he was working with Okada. The AEW Continental Champion blindsided his opponent and relentlessly assaulted him, even forcing him to cough up blood.

Medical personnel had to intervene and take the AEW International Champion out of the arena on a stretcher. The first half of AEW Summer Blockbuster ended with doubts regarding the match at All In.

Medical Update on The Omega vs. Okada Contest

Later in the show, an update emerged, recapping the violent beatdown by Okada before revealing that The Cleaner was taken to a hospital in Portland. It also revealed that despite his history of diverticulitis, the match was, in fact, still on for All In Texas.

This comes as positive news for fans of Omega and Okada, but it will be nothing short of an uphill battle for the former. His record of two wins, one loss, and one draw against his illustrious rival looks to be in danger if he is going to walk into Texas not at a 100%.

The match will also crown the first-ever AEW Unified Champion, which means it is a historic contest before the bell even rings. As such, one has to have the Japanese sensation as the kayfabe favorite going into the contest, especially with Don Callis lurking around.
