John Cena vs. Joe Hendry? Exciting Update for WWE and TNA Fans

Recently, fans have witnessed wild crossovers between WWE and TNA, with superstars making surprise appearances in both promotions. TNA World Champion Joe Hendry has now hinted at another exciting match that could happen this year.

Joe Hendry on a Possible Match Against John Cena

Joe Hendry made his first WrestleMania appearance last month as a surprise opponent for Randy Orton. Although he didn’t win the match, his entry into the WWE ring made headlines around the world. Now, the champion is once again in the spotlight after expressing interest in facing another WWE icon: John Cena.

Following WrestleMania 41, Orton began a final feud with his famous rival, and the two legends clashed for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash on Saturday. The Cenation leader retained his title, thanks to R-Truth’s interference and some cheap shots to The Viper.

Now, the 17-time World Champion is rumored to defend his title against Truth, whom he shockingly put through a table during the Backlash post-show press conference. While fans speculate on how Truth will respond to the betrayal by his childhood hero, another potential match has started to grab attention.

In a recent episode of the “Insight with Chris Van Vliet” podcast, Hendry was asked about the possibility of facing Cena. He responded with optimism, hinting that the high-stakes bout could become reality someday:

“Of course it’s possible. The real question is do I think it will happen? Yes. I mean, my track record’s looking pretty good, but I can’t tell you. I can’t explain it. I just feel it in my heart, to be honest with you. I just would be lying if I sat here and said I didn’t think it would happen.”

Joe Hendry Responds to Fans Who Say He Shouldn’t Have Lost at WrestleMania

As the TNA World Champion, Hendry’s quick loss at his first WrestleMania left many fans questioning the decision, with some even saying that it devalued his title. Addressing the criticism during the same interview, Hendry explained:

“I think that in wrestling, everything has to be a story. So, in the movie, does Rocky win every single match? I mean, the story is Joe Hendry lost to Randy Orton. How is the champion going to recover from this? You know who else lost quickly at WrestleMania? John Cena to The Undertaker. You know who else lost quickly at WrestleMania? Triple H. People have lost quickly at WrestleMania and these are the stories that we’re telling.”

With the ongoing collaboration between TNA and WWE, it seems likely that Hendry will keep appearing in the WWE ring. But the big question fans are asking now is, will John Cena, before hanging up his boots, cross paths with the TNA World Champion?
