John Cena Makes Bold Prophecy for Dominik Mysterio After WrestleMania 41

The record 17-time world champion John Cena didn’t hold back in praising Dominik Mysterio during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” predicting a major role for him in the WWE Universe. He believes Dominik has what it takes to become the next big thing in WWE and dominate the ring for years to come.

John Cena Says Dominik Mysterio Makes Everything Look Effortless

“Dom Mysterio is born for this. PERIOD,” Cena said with confidence, laying down a bold prophecy that stunned the WWE Universe.

Cena continues to make headlines after becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion by defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. He spoke about the chance to work with both experienced and new talent. In the process, he praised Mysterio by saying, “He makes it look so easy, he makes everything effortless.

“He doesn’t crack under pressure. Any pool we’ve dropped him in, not only did he tread water, he swam laps around everybody else. We ain’t even close to what that kid’s capable of, he’s incredible.”

That level of praise early in a career is a huge motivator for Mysterio. Among the new wave of gifted talent in recent years, he’s made a name for himself and continues to solidify his presence in the ring.

Cena even compared Mysterio to Randy Orton, who’s known as one of the smoothest wrestlers of all time. He joked about Orton being in such great shape after so many years.

“He grew a foot tall since I last saw him. He also gained 300 pounds somehow. Maybe he swapped bodies with Bautista,” Cena said with a laugh. Being mentioned in the same breath as Orton — and by Cena no less — suggests WWE could see Mysterio as a generational star.

    Love for the Mysterio Legacy

During the interview, Cena also spoke about Rey Mysterio, Dominik’s father. He called Rey a close friend and someone he loves.

“I love his dad, and Dom will be the most famous Mysterio in this business.”

That’s right — more famous than Rey himself. Getting that kind of recognition from a record-breaking superstar like Cena, who’s watched the elder Mysterio from the beginning, is huge.

Cena also reflected on working with Dominik early in his career. The 17-time champion said that the confidence the young Mysterio brings is his biggest strength. The energy, the emotion — everything points to a future star.

And if Dominik is going to run WWE for the next 20 years like Cena says, he’ll have to keep bringing that same fire and keep growing every time he steps in the ring.
