R-Truth stormed through past week’s Monday Night RAW show with a new swagger, a louder voice, and a single message: he’s in charge now. And wasted no time making it clear. He even cut his hair to become Ron “The Truth” Killings, sending a clear message that the sweet old Truth is dead.
The world has been buzzing about his character change. The star himself commented on his new personality in a recent interview and even opened up about cutting his hair on live TV.
R-Truth Goes Off on Busted Open Radio Podcast
During a virtual sit‑down chat on Busted Open Radio, Truth was asked about his new look and personality. Truth snapped at the question and went off during the podcast, stating that he’s done being the nice guy who gets taken for granted every time.
“How you gonna tell me why I cut my hair? I do what I wanna do,” yelled Truth, signaling that he’s all serious now. Gone is Truth, who used to carry a goofy grin on his face. He has now replaced his goofiness with a steel‑clad determination.
Truth didn’t just get a new haircut; he got a new mission. “It ain’t that nice time no more. I’m not angry. I just won’t be taken advantage of no more.” He went on, “Things gon’ change around here. I’m driving now.” He even demanded respect from his peers and the WWE Universe, “put some respect on my name,” making it clear he’s done playing second fiddle.

Truth gets another shot at John Cena
Earlier this month, WWE released Truth, only for him to return at WWE Money in the Bank. He helped Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso beat Cena and Logan Paul at the premium live event.
Making a dramatic entrance with his hoodie on, he arrived just in the nick of time to take down Cena before the latter used his championship belt to knock down Rhodes.
He followed that up on SmackDown with two brutal attacks, one ambush on the stage at the beginning of the show, and another locking Cena in the STF later in the night. As a result, General Manager Nick Aldis booked him in a rematch against Cena in next week’s blue brand episode.
Cena obviously won’t go down easily. But Truth’s got the right attitude and momentum. He made it pretty clear on the podcast that the haircut isn’t just a style choice, it’s a statement.
A statement of rebellion and retaliation against the very man whom he once worshipped as his hero. It would be interesting to see if Truth will get his revenge or will Cena will successfully adjust Truth’s new attitude. What do you think?
