Former WWE Star Makes Huge Claim About Vince McMahon’s Future

Vince McMahon ended his association with WWE last year following sexual misconduct allegations made against him by a former employee. Since then, the billionaire has made rare public appearances and gained many critics.

Despite the controversy, some fans and wrestlers still appreciate McMahon’s contributions to the wrestling industry. Recently, former WWE star Matt Riddle spoke about McMahon and shared his thoughts on whether he would work with him again.

Matt Riddle Wants To Work With Vince McMahon Again

On a recent episode of the “Going Ringside” podcast, Riddle mentioned that he heard McMahon might start a new company. He also spoke about the possibility of working with his former WWE boss again if that happens:

“Well, you know, in any business, especially in entertainment, you’re eventually going to run into a shakeup, right? I like the shakeup. I think entertainment is a business of change.

“They got rid of Vince, but from what I hear through the grapevine, there might be a new opening for him. I’ve even heard Vince might have another company. I’m interested in anybody, bro. I’m an independent contractor. When I was under contract with WWE, I could naturally work anywhere, whenever I wanted, and for however much money I wanted.”

    Will Riddle Reunite With McMahon?

Riddle joined WWE in 2018 as part of NXT and quickly became a fan favorite with his athleticism and laid-back persona. McMahon was still the company’s CEO, and after moving to the main roster in 2020, Riddle faced top stars and built a strong reputation.

Just a year into his main roster run, the former NXT Tag Team Champion won his first singles title by defeating Bobby Lashley and John Morrison to become the United States Champion.

Later that year, Riddle won the Tag Team Championship with Randy Orton. Their team, RK-Bro, became a fan-favorite duo. But although Riddle was doing well in the company, he was released in September 2023 due to budget cuts.

Riddle has made it clear that he’s interested in working with McMahon if he launches a new wrestling company. However, it remains to be seen whether McMahon will actually start a new promotion and if Riddle would be among its first signings.
