WWE fans were stunned in May when the company released Cora Jade, who had been handed multiple opportunities in WWE NXT.
Most people presumed her future belonged on WWE’s main roster, not as a free agent, but her release proved that fans never truly understand what’s happening behind the scenes. However, Jade recently lifted the lid on her WWE experience and what happened.
Cora Jade Reveals An Awkward Encounter She Had In WWE
Being successful in WWE is more than what happens between the ropes; backstage relationships also play a huge factor. Unfortunately for Jade, it appears that she had a rather awkward experience at one point in her career.
During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, the former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion divulged one situation she went through.
“In November, I kind of had a feeling that like I was gonna be gone. I had a conversation with somebody who I won’t name, but someone I feel I would have had a better experience there if it wasn’t for, and not Sean or Hunter or anybody,” she said.
“There was a conversation with somebody where I was kind of like… This is probably gonna be weird in a few month,” Jade added.
While Jade didn’t go into too many details in terms of who the person was that she spoke to, the conversation obviously had a negative impact on her WWE career. It serves as an example of how careful wrestlers still have to tread, even under Triple H’s leadership.
.@ElaynaBlack shares why she somewhat expected her release from WWE:

What is Next For Cora Jade?
Jade’s dream of becoming a top WWE superstar might have come to an end for now, but she’s certainly not giving up on her wrestling aspirations.
Jade is now working under the name Elayna Black, and she has made it clear that she wants to continue in professional wrestling. She has previous experience of plying trade in AEW, having worked for Tony Khan’s company briefly before signing with WWE.
Khan has been putting a lot of effort and attention into the women’s division recently, and adding a talented 24-year-old wrestler with tons of upside would be seen as a smart signing.
However, whether the former WWE NXT star ends up becoming All Elite remains to be seen. But she will land somewhere, and after the promising talent she showed during her WWE run, Jade will make a great signing.
