This past Monday, CM Punk appeared on WWE Raw to face Seth Rollins in a steel cage match. The match ended in a shocking way as Roman Reigns made his return and delivered a brutal beatdown to his former Shield ally.
Meanwhile, Paul Heyman was seen sharing a moment with his old friend, Punk. They were a wrestler-manager duo back in 2012, but the Tribal Chief didn’t like seeing his Wise Man with another star and immediately speared Punk.
This segment has sparked curiosity among fans about how the rivalry between these three superstars will unfold, but in the meantime, Punk had a heated exchange with Dominik Mysterio on social media.
CM Punk Recalls His Segment With the Mysterio Family
On March 12, 2010, on SmackDown, Punk confronted Rey Mysterio and his family. The Second City Saint claimed it was Aalyah Mysterio’s birthday and even sang “Happy Birthday” to her.
In reality, it wasn’t Aalyah’s birthday — she was born on Aug. 20, 2001. Punk was just there to ruin a warm family moment.
Now, 15 years later to the day, he remembered that segment and shared an Instagram story, wishing her a happy birthday.
“Happy birthday, little sis,” he wrote.
Dominik Mysterio was also in the ring with his family that night. In another Instagram story, Punk zoomed in on young Dom’s face and trolled him, calling him a “lil b****.”
In response, the Judgment Day member fired back, calling Punk a “washed old f***.”
CM Punk Likely To Compete in Triple-Threat Match
The former AEW Champion has a long history with Rollins. The two faced off on Jan. 6, when Raw debuted on Netflix, with Punk coming out victorious.
Punk and Rollins met again on the March 10 edition of Raw, this time in a steel cage match. Yet, their battle was interrupted when The Tribal Chief dragged his longtime rival out of the cage. With it being a steel cage match, though, Reigns pulling Rollins from the ring ultimately gave the latter the victory.
While we still await an official announcement, fans are speculating that these three superstars will likely face off at WrestleMania 41 in a triple-threat match. If this match happens, it could be the second-biggest clash at the Show of Shows — right after John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes.
