WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has responded to a question fans have been asking since rapper Cardi B’s association with this year’s SummerSlam was made official: Is she wrestling at The Biggest Party of the Summer?
Triple H Teases Cardi B Wrestling at WWE SummerSlam 2025
Cardi B is set to host two nights of WWE SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium in August. This marks the first time WWE’s most popular premium live event (PLE), behind only WrestleMania, will be spread across two nights.
The promotional video for this year’s two-night event features Cardi B and Bianca Belair, fueling rumors that the two could potentially work a tag team match. Cardi B has always shown interest in pro wrestling, and athletes have offered her their help in the past.
Speaking with Noah Reardon of Billboard Magazine during the Money in the Bank post-show press conference, Triple H said the sports entertainment company enjoys working with the rapper. And he didn’t rule out an in-ring performance either.
“I don’t know if anybody can control Cardi B. If she wants to, it’s going to be hard to talk her out of it. What can we expect? Who the hell knows? The one thing I know about Cardi is, whatever she’s going to do is what she’s going to do, and you’re sort of hanging on to the tiger’s tail a little bit.”
Triple H also noted that WWE and Cardi B have had a good working relationship so far.
“She’s a lot of fun to work with, has been so far with this. She’s excited to do it. As everybody knows, she’s a big fan and has talked a lot about the business over the years and comments on it a lot.”
Finally, The Game said people like Cardi B could pull it off in the ring.
“When you work with people like that, it’s exciting. We’ll see where that goes. We’re thrilled to be working with her. With people like Cardi, you never know.”
Who Could Be John Cena’s Challenger at His Last SummerSlam?
As for what the card at SummerSlam could look like, John Cena was finally pinned at Money in the Bank by none other than Cody Rhodes. That could mean The American Nightmare is back in the title picture, and it logically sets up a rematch between the two at SummerSlam.
Even so, The Last Real Champion still has a list of possible challengers before he drops the belt. CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Sheamus (to name a few) are past challengers who were previously reported to be in talks to work with Cena while he’s still champion.
