The popular AEW star Darby Allin has recently reached a new height, quite literally — the summit of the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. His desire to climb the mountain was well known by fans, but he couldn’t do it last year due to injury. However, he finally did it, sparking buzz on social media.
Fans React to Darby Allin’s Mount Everest Climb
Darby Allin is one of the most well-known names in the wrestling industry, someone who never hesitates to put his body on the line to entertain his fans. Be it in the ring or outside it, the AEW star has proven he loves risky adventures — and the Mount Everest summit (8,848.86 meters) is proof of it.
He recently posted a picture of himself with his team holding an AEW flag, along with a gratitude message for the promotion:
“Mount Everest summit. What a ride thanks @aew for everything in life. Thanks to the amazing team at adventure consultants and the Sherpa squad this shit was wild!” Allin wrote on Instagram.
Fans are sharing their curious thoughts and well-wishes for the star. One fan congratulated him and hoped for a safe return: “Congrats dude! Now come back down safely and take that strap off Mox!”
While another fan commented: “Can’t wait for your return to AEW man. It’s gonna be insane.” Another one called him crazy but amazing: “You’re so crazy but amazing! Congrats!! 🙌”
WWE and AEW have been competing for the last few years for supremacy, and one X/Twitter user sarcastically wrote that WWE might also try to get their flag on Mount Everest: “HHH calling everyone on the roster right now to see if someone is willing to climb a mountain.”
Another fan shared a picture of the viral moment when Allin dived off a ladder through a sheet of glass and appreciated him: “He already was on top of the world a year ago. What a man!” Another user called it an amazing achievement and hoped for a safely return: “this was an amazing achievement for darbs 🔥🔥. now please get down safely bro 😭😭”
One fan wrote that it’s getting less media attention than they expected: “This is actually crazy. I was expecting more media buzz about it though tbh.” Many want to see him return to the squared circle soon and get into the title picture, with one user writing: “Now he can come back and beat Mox for the AEW World Championship.”
