WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has been praised by fans and wrestlers alike for his storytelling and his leadership style. Recently, another name added to his list of admirers is former AEW star Saraya, fka Paige in WWE.
Saraya Praises Triple H For His Leadership in WWE NXT
In 2014, when Saraya was the NXT Women’s Champion, she had a successful run and was part of many memorable storylines. She even participated in the first-ever NXT Premium Live Event, Arrival, defending her title against Emma.
Triple H, who was still an active wrestler at the time, was also the booker of NXT and oversaw the developmental process for the brand. Under his leadership, fans witnessed a major push for the women’s division, where talents like Paige, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, and more rose to new heights.
Since then, Saraya has earned many championships, seen many ups and downs, and worked for different wrestling promotions — but she still hasn’t forgotten the role Triple H played in her growth during her NXT days. The Anti-Diva recently appeared on ‘One-on-One with Andro Mammo,’ where she opened up about how The Game helped her and other women in NXT. Recalling her debut on RAW, she remembered shaking hands with the CCO of WWE and shared how he supported the women’s division in NXT:
“I remember when I first got signed. I was at RAW in England, and he came up and shook my hand. He said, ‘Welcome aboard.’ I’ll never forget it, and also, oh my God. Triple H knows who I am. It was just insane.” She added, Triple H was a really good boss in NXT, and I enjoyed him running it. He gave girls a lot of time, a lot of freedom, and he helped usher in the revolution too. He wanted to give the women a chance, and he did.”
Triple H did a great job running NXT, and Saraya highlighted it by crediting him for the brand’s massive growth today, “He made NXT what it is now. It’s a spectacle. It’s like the third brand. It’s really big. People are selling out arenas when they do pay-per-views, all that kind of stuff. He was the catalyst there and made it something really special.”
Will Saraya Return to Work Under Triple H?
After leaving WWE, Saraya joined AEW in 2022 and had a great run in the company. However, she recently announced her departure, sparking speculation about a possible return to WWE.
Triple H has been doing a similar job on the main roster, pushing the women’s division to new levels and playing a huge role in their growth. Now, the big question is: will Paige return to once again work under his leadership? The Anti-Diva has expressed interest in returning to her old stomping grounds and reviving her Paige character. Only time will tell if this will ever come to fruition.
