This week on SmackDown, John Cena made a rather bizarre statement regarding Seth Rollins of all people. He claimed that Rollins, who is the current Mr. Money in the Bank, would never cash in on him. However, that might not be the case. Here are four reasons why The Last Real Champion thinking that The Visionary is saving him from the briefcase is delusion at its finest:
#4. Rollins Doesn’t Want Wrestling Ruined
Cena is out here to ruin wrestling. Rollins, in his own grand delusion, claims he is the future of the industry, trying to save wrestling. Technically, that alone should put the two men at odds, even though they are both heels.
So why shouldn’t The Revolutionary cash in on ‘The Never Seen 17’ to stop the latter from ruining the sport that is so dear to him?
#3. Rollins is in His Head of the Table Arc
He may deny it a thousand times, but Rollins is slowly turning into the man he hates the most: Roman Reigns. Among all the things Reigns has done, the one that stands out is that he captured both the World Titles, something Mr. Money in the Bank is in prime position to recreate.
Rollins is always at the front of the line for the World Heavyweight Championship, given that it’s the title that he helped build from the ground up. As such, he can always use his contract to cash in on Cena and take one step closer to his ultimate form, The Head of the Table 2.0.
#2. Rollins Has a Chance to Once Again Become a Double Champion by Beating Cena
In the vein of the last point, Rollins has made his intentions to wrestle for the World Heavyweight Championship clear. It’s not outlandish to suggest that he could win it without using his MITB briefcase on a random episode of RAW, given how chaotic the title picture there is.
Back in 2015, Rollins held both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the United States Championship at the same time by defeating John Cena at SummerSlam. He could look to make history again by being the first man to win the World Heavyweight Championship somehow and then shocking Cena with a mega cash-in.
#1. The Vision is Slowly Spreading to SmackDown
Look at this week’s episode of SmackDown, when Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker interfered to cost LA Knight his King of the Ring match. This is an ominous statement of intent from Rollins’ group, as they look to impose their vision outside of RAW.
WHAT THE?!@RealLAKnight just paid the price for costing @bronbreakkerwwe his spot in the King of the Ring Tournament 😬#SmackDown pic.twitter.com/wlIBpXaASA

If SmackDown is going to be a target, Cena should be very worried. Nothing will be a bigger exclamation point for The Architect’s vision than him dethroning the Undisputed WWE Champion and ruling both WWE shows with an iron fist.
All in all, it seems like Seth Rollins is not afraid to cash in on John Cena. He’s just waiting for the right moment to strike.
