A recent picture was found on social media of WWE and UFC athlete Brock Lesnar and his wife Rena Marlette Lesnar, best known as Sable in the pro wrestling world. This probably reminded fans how much they missed the Beast Incarnate in WWE, as speculations ran rampant about his comeback.
It seems Lesnar and his wife are living peacefully away from the limelight. The two got married in 2006, two years after the ex-UFC mauler left WWE to pursue a career in the National Football League (NFL) with the Minnesota Vikings.
Despite an age gap between them, whatever limited information people know about the couple makes it clear that they are very much in love. Some rare facts were revealed in Lesnar’s autobiography, Death Clutch. Let’s take a look at those.
Brock Lesnar Demanded Sable to Leave WWE Before They Got Married
In his book, Lesnar articulated his train of thought regarding Sable. He said everything was uncertain except that he wanted to marry her. “If we want a relationship, neither one of us can work for that company [WWE]. We both know the long-term side effects of everything there,” Lesnar wrote.
The WWE star added that it was the only demand he had for her. He explained how much this meant to him, because Sable had left WWE and then made a comeback in the early aughts, only to leave everything behind for him.
According to Lesnar, he only created controversy during that time. He was young, in the midst of changing jobs, and had a very young daughter.
Lesnar Broke Into Sable’s House When She Was Mad at Him
The Beast noted that he just knew she was the one, but then, when he drove her away, she left for her home in Florida. Sable refused to answer his calls and make things easy for him. Lesnar admitted to begging her to talk to him, adding that it was not his style, but something was different in their relationship.
After hopping on several cabs and arguing with the cabbies, he finally got to Sable’s home, but she was not there. He didn’t want the attention and considered the potential for a neighbor to call the cops if he waited in front of the house. So he decided to jump the fence and go to the back.
He informed her he was inside her house, but she took her time returning. Lesnar believes she made him wait to teach a lesson.
Lesnar Proposed to Sable By the Waterfall at Orlando Airport
Despite everything that happened, Sable was happy to see Lesnar. The two made up and spent a week in Florida. Then the day came when he had to leave. She took him to the airport and got inside the terminal with him. By the waterfall in Orlando Airport, Lesnar proposed to Sable, and she said yes.
Lesnar wrote that he does not believe she regrets saying yes, but one thing he can firmly state, is that he knew they were meant to be together.
