All signs point toward the holders of the No. 1 overall pick, the Tennessee Titans, selecting University of Miami quarterback Cam Ward. They made it even more apparent after canceling Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ private workout last week. NFL insider Diana Russini now believes it would take a historic offer to convince the Titans to move off the top pick.

What It Would Take for the Tennessee Titans to Trade Out of the No. 1 Pick
Russini elaborated on her “Scoop City” podcast that the Titans have done extensive homework on Ward, and all signs indicate he is their guy at No. 1 overall.
“Tennessee is really taking their time. Granted, they’ve done tons of work, and they made it very apparent after they canceled that Shedeur Sanders workout in Colorado last week that, look, we love the kid, but we know who we’re going to get married to here. Cam Ward. Cam Ward, all signs point to it.”
All signs appear to be pointing to the Titans taking Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick.
The only way Tennessee parts with April's top selection is the trade package is 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙘.

She added that based on her conversations with league sources, this is not a smokescreen to bait another team into making a bigger trade offer. Russini believes the Titans are legitimately locked in on Ward. However, she said it would still take a “history-setting proposal” for them to even consider moving off the pick.
“I haven’t found anyone in football right now that has said to me, ‘Oh, be careful. They may be just doing all this to see if New York will come up and make some historic trade to get up there.’ And I think that’s what it would take. If it would ever get to that point, it would have to be something we’ve almost never seen before.”
All indications point to Ward heading to Nashville.
Cam Ward Held a Private Workout for the Titans in March
Ward all but secured the No. 1 overall pick with two back-to-back workouts in the final week of March.
The Titans sent a massive contingent to Ward’s Pro Day in Miami on Monday, March 21. The group included head coach Brian Callahan, general manager Mike Borgonzi, assistant general manager Dave Ziegler, president of football operations Chad Brinker, offensive coordinator Nick Holz, and quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree.
He showcased his accuracy and arm strength with a series of deep throws and was seen chatting with Titans staff afterward.
He then held a private workout for the Titans on Friday, March 29, with many of the same executives and coaches in attendance. It appears that session was enough to convince the Tennessee brass that Ward is their pick.
