WNBA Fans Unite in Agreement Over Caitlin Clark After Indiana Fever Sign 2-Time Champion

WNBA fans are uniting in agreement on Caitlin Clark’s pull in free agency after the Indiana Fever added yet another key piece to their roster in two-time champion Sydney Colson.

Fans Label Caitlin Clark the ‘Needle Mover’

After clearing out their point guard room behind Caitlin Clark, it was reported that the Fever have signed former Las Vegas Aces guard Sydney Colson. While Colson is only coming to Indiana to be a bench piece, she’s a great addition to have in the locker room.

Having young stars such as Clark and Aliyah Boston, it’ll be incredibly helpful to have that veteran leadership and experience in the playoffs. That said, as the Fever have added to their incredible offseason, fans are beginning to view Clark as the primary reason players are coming to Indiana.

“They (WNBA players) wanna get paid and play winning basketball, Caitlin Clark is the one who can make that happen,” said one fan.

Other fans agreed with this post in the comments, with one saying, “Caitlin Clark is THE NEEDLE MOVER.”

Another fan added, “Of course they want to play with her. She is a generational talent… In a few short weeks they destroyed the nonsensical narrative that players don’t want to play with her.

One fan even noted how Clark will be able to help shine the light on others, saying, “Caitlin’s light is about to shine on more players this year and I’m actually so excited for it.”

At this point, it’s pretty undeniable that players are drawn towards playing with Clark. That said, these fans pointed out why she’s an incredible talent who makes everyone around her better.

Clark Delivers Emotional Speech at Iowa Jersey Retirement Ceremony

Just one year out of playing for the Hawkeyes, Iowa has officially retired Clark’s jersey. While this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, it’s a truly remarkable accomplishment, especially given how little time it’s been since she left the league.

Clark currently holds a plethora of NCAA records, including being the association’s all-time leading scorer, which is only the tip of the iceberg of her success. There’s truly nobody more deserving of this achievement than her.

Just one year in the WNBA, and Clark has already made her mark. She finished as the league’s Rookie of the Year, dominating her competition each and every game.

Clark is one of many players — such as Boston and Angel Reese — who is keeping the future of the WNBA as bright as ever. Some of those players, however, aren’t even in the league yet. One of them, JuJu Watkins, happened to be at Clark’s jersey retirement, despite getting upset by Iowa.

Clark didn’t let her talent and success go unnoticed. During her jersey retirement speech, she made sure to show some love to Watkins, saying, “USC, good luck the rest of the way. I’m a big fan of all of you. JuJu, you were awesome.”
